Wisp Acquires TBD Health,
Launching Enterprise
& Hybrid Care Offerings
Published on January 27, 2026
At Wisp, our mission has always been simple: make healthcare work for women — on their terms. Today, we’re taking a big step forward in that mission.
We’re excited to share that Wisp has acquired TBD Health, a nationally scaled sexual health platform known for its leadership in STI testing, HIV prevention, and TelePrEP care. This marks Wisp’s first-ever acquisition and opens the door to new ways of delivering care — combining digital-first experiences with real-world healthcare systems.
Why This Matters
Healthcare isn’t confined to exam rooms anymore. More people are getting care through hybrid models that blend virtual visits, at-home testing, and in-person support. But even as options expand, access gaps remain — especially in sexual and preventative health.
One of the clearest examples? PrEP, a highly effective medication that prevents HIV. While 2.4 million people in the U.S. are eligible, only about 25% are currently receiving it. Women, in particular, are underserved — despite accounting for nearly one in five new HIV diagnoses — because most prevention solutions weren’t built with them in mind.
“This acquisition reflects where healthcare is going and where women have been left behind,” said Monica Cepak, CEO of Wisp. “TBD Health brings the infrastructure and partnerships that allow us to move into hybrid and enterprise care quickly, while staying true to Wisp’s patient-first approach. Together, we are making preventative care more accessible especially to women and integrating them into proven care models.”
What TBD Health Brings to Wisp
The value of the TBD Health acquisition lies in expanding Wisp’s care delivery capabilities at a national scale. TBD Health brings a 50-state sexual health and diagnostics infrastructure that strengthens Wisp’s ability to deliver preventative, hybrid, and enterprise care models — all while maintaining a consumer-first experience.
Under the Wisp platform, TBD Health’s offerings include:
- Routine STI and HIV testing
- Virtual clinical care and TelePrEP services
- Established health system and public health partnerships that help reduce cost and access barriers
TBD Health’s existing relationships with organizations such as Mount Sinai Health System, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and Planned Parenthood Direct, further enhance Wisp’s ability to integrate digital care with trusted healthcare institutions and public health programs.
With TBD Health under Wisp’s care delivery umbrella, we are creating a more connected sexual health experience — one that reflects how patients actually access care today, across digital, in-person, and hybrid settings.
"By joining forces with Wisp, we can provide partners with a turnkey solution for PrEP along with sexual health diagnostics and care that integrates seamlessly into their existing workflows, ensuring no patient falls through the cracks,” said Daphne Chen, Co-Founder of TBD Health.
"Wisp is the only digital health company with the scale and trust to take our enterprise vision to the next level," said Stephanie Estey, Co-Founder of TBD Health.
What This Means for Patients
For patients, this acquisition means more access, more options, and fewer barriers — especially for sexual health and preventative care. It allows Wisp to expand beyond direct-to-consumer care into enterprise and hybrid models, working alongside employers, health systems, and public health organizations to reach more people who need care.
Importantly, it also helps ensure women are fully included in prevention models that have historically overlooked them.
Looking Ahead
As we move into 2026, this acquisition positions Wisp to bridge consumer health, enterprise partnerships, and public health — at scale. We’ll continue exploring strategic partnerships and opportunities that help us expand access, improve outcomes, and meet patients where they are.
