Ingredients: valacyclovir [500mg or 1 gram] or acyclovir [400 mg or 800 mg], carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, FD&C Blue No. 2 Lake, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, povidone, titanium dioxide
Genital Herpes is an extremely common STD caused by the transmission of the Herpes Simplex Virus Type-2. Once acquired, individuals will experience genital ulcers (outbreaks) for the rest of their lives. The severity of genital outbreaks changes over time, with the initial episode generally being the most painful and emotionally difficult. Prescription antiviral medication (Acyclovir and Valacyclovir) helps decrease the severity and frequency of genital outbreaks. Keep meds on hand, and take what you need as soon as you need it to avoid painful outbreaks.
Genital Herpes Symptoms:
- Genital ulcers on the penis, testicles, anus, buttocks, thighs
- Swollen or tender lymphs in the legs & groin
- Headache & pain in your joints
- Flu-like symptoms
- Pain when you pee
Valacyclovir and Acyclovir are available based on patient preference and medical need

How (quickly) do these pills work?
Valacyclovir (aka Valtrex) & Acyclovir (aka Zovirax and Sitavig) are the most effective drugs on the market today for treating herpes outbreaks.
Both medications are considered equally effective for preventing outbreaks & the spread of Herpes Simplex 1 & 2 to sexual partners. The most important thing for preventing an outbreak is beginning treatment within 48 hours of feeling the first symptoms in the area you're treating (itchiness, tingling, burning, pain). The quicker you take valacyclovir or acyclovir, the less likely (if at all) you are to experience an outbreak.
Is there a daily medication I can just take that prevents outbreaks?
Yes! You can take this medication two ways: 1) Just when you feel an outbreak coming (episodic), which is a 5-day treatment that speeds up recovery and reduces the severity and length of the outbreak but does not reduce your risk of getting an outbreak nor spreading the virus to your partners, or 2) Everyday (suppressive), which can reduce your risk of an outbreak by at least 70-80%, and reduce your risk of spreading the virus to sexual partners down to 1% of the time.
Do you require a herpes test for treatment?
No, our doctors will be able view your information and discuss your symptoms with you. Herpes testing is an antibody test and many patients experiencing first outbreaks will not test positive. Most physician (in-person and through telemedicine) do not require a positive test for treatment.
How fast can I get medication?
Our doctors typically review your medical information within 1-2 hours! If medication is considered safe and appropriate, your prescription will be sent out for delivery or called-in to a local pharmacy for same-day pickup. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll make sure it gets called in ASAP!
Do I need insurance?
Nope! Wisp provides access to treatment whether you have insurance or not. The price you pay includes the cost of medical consultation, prescription meds, and includes FREE delivery. If you select same-day pharmacy pickup, there may be an additional copay, but you can use your free wispcount card to get the lowest price possible.
