Many people experience spotting and/or period irregularity when first beginning a new form of birth control. This side effect will likely lessen over time as your body adjusts, but a small percentage of patients do find that their periods lighten or stop altogether. Everyone is different! If you do find you stop getting your period, be sure to check in with your doctor to make sure it is because of your birth control and not another health concern.
