How can I stop my period entirely?

How do hormones affect my menstrual cycle?

Menstrual cycles are driven by the rise and fall of 3 hormones: estrogen, FSH/LH, and progesterone. With those changes come symptoms, often referred to as PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome) including: mood swings, cravings, acne, irregular cycles, and fatigue.

Should I be scared of TSS?

Toxic Shock Syndrome is rare (just 1 in 100,000 for tampon-users), although at its worst, it can be life threatening. To note, strep throat is actually a more common cause of TSS than tampon-use. That being said, the bacterial condition should be taken seriously: remember to take out your tampon every 8 or less, and wash your hands before & after you do so! Let’s talk about TSS!
