Wisp x Stripes:
Teaming Up Against
Menopause Stigma

Wisp ft. Naomi Watts

For decades, menopause has been an inevitable change that women were expected to navigate alone. It’s something that every woman goes through, yet its life-altering symptoms are rarely discussed, even within the doctor’s office! Naomi Watts is on a mission to transform what we expect from menopause care. After experiencing the shock of early perimenopause, she channeled her frustration into action, co-founding Stripes Beauty, a holistic wellness brand built on community, education, and effective solutions.

Wisp and Stripes are teaming up to bring you 360-degree care that covers all angles of your menopause journey. Stripes’ science-backed, clean, and natural solutions go hand-in-hand with Wisp’s personalized consultations and targeted prescription treatment. You’re in control—choose the care that fits your goals & see yourself thrive.

How Wisp and Stripes fit together

We’re like two peas in a pod! Wisp connects you with a healthcare provider who can prescribe powerful prescription treatments, like hormone replacement therapy, to address the true cause of menopause symptoms. On the other hand, Stripes offers holistic support for day-to-day comfort, ensuring you stay in touch with your body to avoid that “Am I a science experiment?” feeling. Women’s health expert and Chief Medical Officer for Wisp, Dr. Jennifer Peña, cuts through the fluff: “HRT can address the root hormonal changes driving hot flashes, sleep issues, and bone health, while Stripes’ products provide non-hormonal support that enhances comfort, hydration, vaginal wellness, and mood. In that sense, they work best together, each filling gaps the other can’t.”

What menopause really looks (and feels!) like

There’s no one who can better speak to the experience of menopause than the women going through it. Naomi Watts knows firsthand how surprising, and frustrating, it can be to try and get menopause support that meets your needs. We spoke with Naomi to discuss her personal journey, the challenges she faced, and her vision for the future of menopause care.

Perimenopause: A shock at thirty-six

Naomi’s entry into perimenopause was unexpectedly early, an experience that left her feeling isolated and unprepared.

"I went into perimenopause at just 36, which felt incredibly early. I was shocked by the symptoms I was experiencing—I wasn’t prepared at all. It wasn’t a part of the conversation and wasn't something I ever talked about with my mom. What I needed most was community and answers for the problems I was facing with my skin in particular."

This lack of resources and open dialogue was the catalyst for Stripes. "I created Stripes to help women feel seen and to provide real solutions so that they can continue to thrive during midlife."

The challenges of finding relief

The path to finding answers was far from straightforward. Naomi highlights the evolving nature of menopause symptoms and the critical lack of information that forced her to become her own advocate.

"One of the biggest challenges is that symptoms are constantly changing — menopause isn’t a single moment in time; most women will experience it for a third of their lives, and during that time, symptoms will ebb and flow, and new ones will introduce themselves. There was very little information available from friends, family, or even doctors, so I had to conduct extensive research on my own to find answers."

Thankfully, she notes, the landscape is shifting, and the power of community has been essential to that change.

"The industry is evolving, and we’re seeing more information. What I’m most proud of is how our community at Stripes continues to grow and thrive. We’ve built a supportive community of women and doctors who share their experiences and knowledge. They’ve become incredible resources to lean on—whether you’re feeling out of your depth or need a good laugh."

The future of menopause care

Looking ahead, Naomi points to systemic gaps that still need to be filled, advocating for greater innovation, education, and research dedicated to women's health.

"I’d love to see greater innovation and education in this space. Women’s health has been overlooked for far too long, and there are still many unmet needs in terms of both resources and solutions."

Do you know the numbers when it comes to menopause medical training? Naomi does. "On average, with menopause, doctors receive only about three hours of training during their studies in medical school—which is truly shocking! Women weren’t even required to be included in federal research studies in the US until 1993."

This historical neglect is why advocacy remains so critical. "To fill that gap, women have had to educate ourselves, and advocate for greater research and innovation, so we can get the care that we need. How many solutions are there on the market for “male” problems like ED vs. solutions for hot flashes? Things are starting to change for the better as more women speak out, but we deserve more!"

Finally, we’ve got to know her personal fave

So, which product Naomi can’t live without? She has a clear winner.

"Yes — Vag of Honor is my absolute favorite. It’s one of those products you didn’t realize you needed until you tried it. It’s a moisturizer for down there, which is so important because when estrogen levels drop and dryness sets in during menopause, it doesn’t just affect your face—it’s everywhere. I bring mine everywhere and keep a mini size in my bag when I travel. It's essential!"

Through Stripes, Naomi Watts is leading a movement to normalize conversation, foster support, and empower women to thrive through every stage of life.
